About Quylt.ai

Each voter is a patch. The legislation is the quilt.

The Mission

Quylt.ai is a non-partisan civic intelligence platform. We exist to give every voter — regardless of party, income, or education level — the same quality of legislative intelligence that lobbyists and trade associations have always had access to.

A well-informed voter is not a partisan voter. It is a voter who can read a bill in plain language, understand how their representative actually voted, and hold them accountable for what they did — not just what they said.

The Quilt Metaphor

For centuries, people from all walks of life have gathered around a quilting frame — neighbors, strangers, young and old — each contributing a patch, sharing stories, talking about family, work, and the things that matter most to their community, and together building something whole that none of them could have made alone.

That tradition is as old as America itself — a place where debate was encouraged, differences were respected, and the work of building something together was considered the highest form of citizenship. A quilt is made of individual patches — each one distinct, each one contributing to something larger than itself. That is the design of a functioning democracy. Each voter is a patch. Each representative is accountable to their patch. The legislation is the quilt that holds it together.

When patches are uninformed, disengaged, or manipulated by partisan noise, the quilt frays. When voters have access to objective, plain-language civic intelligence, the quilt holds.

Quylt.ai is the platform that gives every patch the information it needs.

Non-Partisan Principles

The data decides the score

No human at Quylt.ai ever adjusts a member's score based on their politics, their party, or whether we agree with their positions. The methodology is fixed, published, and applied identically to every member of Congress.

We are not a media company

We do not write editorials. We do not endorse candidates. We do not have a preferred outcome in any election. Our job is to make the official record legible — not to interpret it.

Banned by a bad actor is a badge of honor

If Quylt.ai is ever blocked or banned by an authoritarian government for providing citizens with transparent access to their legislators' records, that is not a crisis. That is confirmation that the platform is working exactly as intended.

Legislative branch only

Quylt.ai covers Congress. We do not score the executive branch, the judiciary, or regulatory agencies. Scope discipline is what makes the score credible — we know what we are and we stay in our lane.
